"Welcome! Have you been here before?" "You are very welcome" and "Glad you came in." Those are the first and last words someone hears as they enter and exit the MGM's Outfit Outlet. "Wow, everything is free?" and "Thank you so much. I really appreciate this." Flowing as water cascading down a fountain, volunteers hear many stories beginning with these phrases. For the first time, in a long time, our guests perceive someone caring for them.

For better or worse, shopping is a cultural icon of the "American" life. When we are unable to participate in "normal" activities of our culture, we internalize the stereotypes of "low-life", "worthless" and "lazy". Today's economy is changing how we see ourselves. At the Outfit Outlet, we see people from all walks of life as our neighbors. Enabling them to save the money on clothing, we assist in freeing that money for other living expenses.

Would you like to help our community grow closer together? If so, The MGM wants you. Help us and volunteer.
